We’re here to give you a quick and easy guide on how to clean your Vertical Blinds! Whether yours are of the fabric variety, made from rigid PVC, or are Blackout Vertical Blinds, we’ve got a few helpful hints and handy tips to take the pain away and get those blinds looking good as new.
How to Clean Dust from Vertical Blinds
One of the simplest ways to keep your Vertical Blinds clean for longer is by dusting them on a regular basis. To do this, take a feather duster of some sort, rather than a cloth, and, starting from the top, brush downwards gently. Repeat on either side of the louvre every time you give your room a quick once over and you’re more likely to keep them looking fresh and clean.
How to Clean Marks and Stains from Vertical Blinds
If you need to tackle a few marks and stains that have built up on your blind, you can remove the louvres to clean them. You just need a large, flat surface, a mild detergent and a damp cloth. Simply wipe the cloth along the length of the fabric gently – taking care not to scrub or press down too hard – and turn over, repeating on the other side.
Use a clean towel to pat them down before re-hanging them, this ensures that they won’t bend or twist when they’re drying, you can always pop a couple of towels underneath them to catch any errant drops of water.
